Rubys Day 5. Incision Photo

Incision Day 4
Incision Day 5– The doctors are concerned about “necrotic tissue” and may have to Debride her wound on Monday.  She does not have an infection as of yet.  I’ll try and take another photo today on Day 8.

  1. It’s hard to tell from the picture whether that’s necrotic or normal bruising. Many dogs get a seroma, which is sort of like a big bruise. Keeping my fingers crossed!

  2. Yike…doesn’t look good, don’t want to worry you…but, yep, think they will need to debride her 🙁 a little ste back for sure, but Ruby will get well soon, one day at a time 🙂 Hang in there!

  3. Poor Ruby…..
I’ll say a prayer for your girl hun.
I haven’t removed my girls front leg yet, trying to build up the courage to give the go-ahead.
I wish I was there to give you both a hug and tell you to keep strong.
My wish is she’ll have a speedy recovery!

  4. My u professional opinion is she will probably have to have the surgery to remove the tissue. I know it’s incredibly frustrating but it does happen. I’m sorry this extra hurdle has popped up. They’ll get the treatment foing Monday and get this taken care of.

    Extra hugs!

  5. Thanks everyone. She did have the surgery and is now doing better. She got her stitches out and has started Chemo and Physical therapy. We received such wonderful support.
